Hey there Drovers, welcome to week seven of the trimester! February really does just speed by, as it is the shortest month of the year. If only February could get pulled over and get a ticket for going by too fast.

Wishful thinking over, this week will be put into drive with The Trend’s third writer’s meeting, held in the Music Pocket in Nash Library on Monday, February 20th, at 4 p.m. Everyone is invited as The Trend discusses new articles, ideas, and upcoming events. The editors plan to bring snacks to the upcoming meeting. So, what’s happening with The Trend this week?

What advice would you give if you worked in something for 12 years? Gisela Alonso wrote about her experiences and life lessons she learned while working at restaurants for over a decade. Her opinion piece which will be served up this Wednesday.

Dr. James Finck continues to connect modern events with history, and does it again with “Historically Speaking: New Cold War in Ukraine.” This is a hot topic and will be hot off the press this Thursday.

The week will close with Janet Ogungbuyi’s debut for The Trend, with a review of “S.O.S,” an album by SZA. What thought-provoking ideas will Janet present in her review?
