Drovers Add More Hardware to Growing Collection

USAO places 2nd in Evangel Fall Invite and sees five players in top 15

USAO’s women’s golf team played in the Evangel Fall Invite at Fremont Hills Country Club (Par 71, 5198 yards) in Nixa, MO. USAO was one of six teams to play in the tournament, which began Monday, Oct. 16 and concluded Tuesday, Oct. 17. After three rounds of play, USAO earned a 2nd place finish and saw five players in the top 15.

The Drovers shot rounds of 346 (+62), 344 (+60), and 343 (+59), which placed USAO 28 strokes behind the tournament champions, Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU). Seven ladies traveled for USAO, with five player’s scores going towards the team score while the remaining two played as individuals. Hudson Woloss, Moriah Shropshire, Alix Schueneman, Emma Fields, and Addysyn Asmus contributed to the team’s score.

Woloss earned a 6th place finish with rounds of 89 (+18), 83 (+12), and 81 (+10), which all went towards the team score. Shropshire followed closed with a tied 11th finish after shooting 85 (+14), 90 (+19), and 84 (+13). Schueneman contributed all of her scores to the team as she shot 91 (+20), 84 (+13), and 86 (+15) for a 14th place finish. Fields tied for 15th with rounds of 81 (+10), 90 (+19), 93 (+22). Finally, Asmus shot 95 (+24), 87 (+16), and 92 (+21) for a 20th place finish.

USAO’s two individuals were Adde Glass and Kiera Stehr. Glass tied for 8th after shooting 90 (+19), 79 (+8), and 88 (+17). Stehr shot 102 (+31), 95 (+24), and 91 (+20) for a 24th place finish.

For their final tournament of the season, the Drovers will travel to the Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, KS for the Tabor Invite Monday, Oct. 23 through Tuesday, Oct. 24.
