The Drovers move on to the semifinal round of the SAC tournament, beating Saint Gregory’s 78-74.

After taking the lead at the end of the first half, USAO never let up and ended their two-game losing streak to Saint Gregory’s.

The game went back-and-forth for most of the first half, but, the Drovers pulled away late and went into halftime with a 37-33 lead over the Cavaliers. The amount of second chance points and points in the paint were a big help for the Drovers. USAO scored 11 second chance points and held Saint Gregory’s to only two. Sophomore David Tucker led all scorers going into halftime with 12, and went 2-for-4 behind the arc.

After taking the four point lead at the end of the first half, USAO never relinquished their lead. The Drovers led by as much as thirteen in the game. When the Cavaliers had an offensive run, the Drovers answered with a run of their own. Tucker continued his offensive clinic scoring 20 points to end the night and was perfect from the free-throw stripe.

USAO awaits their opponent for the semifinal game tomorrow night. The Drovers will face the winner of John Brown/Wayland Baptist at 8 p.m.
