The men’s basketball team will play the Mid-America Christian University Evangels on Thursday, Jan. 30. The Drovers, coming in with a 5-4 record, will host the game at 8 p.m.

The Evangels, traveling from Oklahoma City, carry a 7-3 record this conference.

Bringing the Drovers in with a three game winning streak, Head Coach Vinson Metcalf said it’s an important game for the team.

“If we can increase our winning streak against someone with a higher rank, it’d be really good for us, and I’m looking forward to having a real good game,” said Metcalf.

Sophomore guard Cameron King, from Lewisville, Texas, said he’s also hoping for a good turn out, but it can only come from teamwork.

“We have to play as a team and play together,” said King.

This is the first of a two-night theme sponsored by the Women in Science (WIS) and the Biology and Associated Science Club (BASC) titled “Paint the Fieldhouse Green.”  Fans are asked to wear green to support the team.
