The University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma’s Fall Carnival is upon us. After unfortunately being moved from Sept. 23 due to rain, the carnival will be in full swing tonight. Taking place at the Oval, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on October 14, the event is said to be an exciting evening full of games and beautiful weather. Better yet, it’s free to attend.
For those who don’t know, the Fall Carnival is a first time event put together by the Student Activities Board. The idea has been in the works for almost a year and has been meticulously planned out for months. As it has been in the works for a while now, the Fall Carnival is going to have a large assortment of activities for everyone to delight in. From a classic carnival food, food truck, fundraiser booths for the clubs, face painting, an assortment of games, to even a genuine mechanical carnival ride.
The Homecoming and Spirit Committee Chair of the Student Activities Board, David Orgas, has commented that he hopes that the Fall Carnival can be a new tradition for the campus. A time for people to enjoy the wonders of Autumn and make fun new memories with friends. He also believed that the event couldn’t have been put together without the help of the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma’s student body or the hard work from the Student Activities Board or one, Cameron Roberts.
“Bring a hoodie and come have some fun. From the SAB, we appreciate you all and are excited to kick off this event,” said Orgas.
With endless possibilities and things to do around every corner, you won’t want to miss the first Fall Carnival. The Droverstock and Nightlife Committee Chair of the Student Activities Board, Cassie Srock, claims that she is very excited for the event and hopes that everyone comes to check it out.
“You should come to the fall carnival because it’s a free event with rides, a movie night, club booths, and hopefully fall weather. So, on the behalf of the members of the Student Activities Board, we hope to see everyone there,” said Srock.
Although the event is free to attend, it is important to note that you will have to pay for anything you get from the food trucks. Luckily, they will be taking both cash and card.
