Biology And Associated Sciences Club To Host Blood Drive Jan. 28
January 27, 2014
The Biology and Associated Sciences Club is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Jan. 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Station 82, located in the basement the Student Center.
If you haven’t donated blood before, you can save time by creating an account at the Oklahoma Blood Institute website (www.obi.org), where you can make a reservation and print out a compatibility sheet. Walk-ins are also welcome and people who have already donated blood in March are still eligible to donate.
This blood drive is just one of the many activities in which Science Club members participate. They also invite guest speakers to visit and go on many trips as a club.
“We do fun stuff,” said Dr. Jeannette Loutsch, sponsor of the club. “Anyone’s welcome to come.”
Their next trip may be to the Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, Loutsch said.
Students who would like to volunteer at the blood drive or join the science club may contact Loutsch at jloutchs@usao.edu or visit her office in Austin Hall room 207.
