Drover Men Take Clutch Win From Pioneers

The Drovers (6-8, 3-4) held on to beat Wayland Baptist (12-3, 3-3) 82-81 in a game that left everybody in the stands on both sides to sit on the edge of their seats.
Two clutch free throws in the last two seconds of regulation from Wayland Baptist’s Markus Monroe sent the game into overtime.
The game went back and forth all game with teams trading threes and both took advantage of their big men in the paint. Monroe led the Pioneers in scoring with 30 and Jahseth Lloyd led the Drovers with 24.
USAO also saw production from senior Kennis White who recorded a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
The Drovers face yet another tough test at home this Saturday going against Oklahoma City who always comes to play when they come to Chickasha. The game starts right after the girls’ game and the First National Bank of Chickasha will be sponsoring the event.
