Watch Golden Dragon Acrobats Perform Tomorrow at USAO
November 11, 2013
An acrobatic act containing ancient and contemporary aspects of dance and music is coming to USAO. The Golden Dragon Acrobats of China, sponsored by the Davis-Waldorf Series, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Te Ata Auditorium.
USAO students will be admitted free if they pick up a ticket from the business office by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The price for faculty and staff is $7, senior citizens are $10, and the general admission is $12.
“We want to bring culture from all across the world as much as possible, and this represents a type of entertainment that has been around for hundreds of years,” said Dr. Ken Bohannon, associate professor of music and music department coordinator.
The mission of the Davis-Waldorf series as a whole is “to bring arts to a community that wouldn’t otherwise be able to see the performing arts,” said Bohannon.
“There aren’t many opportunities in Chickasha to see live performances,” Bohannon said. He said that he expects to be sold out.
