National Media Convention: Food, Exploring and Workshops
October 25, 2013
After we woke up and got up and around, Max and I ate lunch at Krystal’s. Krystal’s is a lot like White Castle, where you can get the mini burgers and chicken sandwiches. We had a little time before the session we wanted to go to started. So we decided to take advantage of our time and went exploring. We went up and down Canal Street and eventually we ended up on the River walk. It was beautiful but the tours were way too expensive for a college student’s budget. The first session we went to was disappointing but the second, which covered 10 things that makes writing sloppy and how to fix it, was good. The only part of it I didn’t like was I took notes the whole time only to find out the lady who was speaking had copies of the PowerPoint up at the front. Not sure what the night has planned for us, but I’m sure we’ll find something to do in the Big Easy.
