Games Galore For Our Drovers!

USAO’s basketball, softball, and baseball teams will play several games coming up this week, including Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) events and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Invitational games.
The Drover men’s and women’s basketball teams will compete in two conference games Feb. 10-12. Drover men are currently ranked #1 in the SAC and #15 in the nation, while Drover women are #4 in the SAC and unranked nationally.
The basketball teams will compete at home in the Drover Fieldhouse in an SAC event against Panhandle State University Thursday, Feb. 10. The women will play at 6 p.m., and the men will play at 7:45 p.m. USAO will also be observing Chickasha City Employee Appreciation Night.
The basketball teams will stay at home to play Wayland Baptist University Saturday, Feb. 12 in the Drover Fieldhouse. The women will play at 2 p.m., and the men will play at 3:45 p.m. USAO will also be celebrating Grady County Teacher Appreciation Night.
USAO’s softball team will compete in five NAIA Winter Invitational games Feb. 11-12 in Allen, Texas. In the preseason polls, USAO softball was ranked #1 in the SAC and #3 nationally.
USAO will play the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Friday, Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. and against Tabor College at 2:30 p.m.
The Drover women will continue their stay in Allen, Texas to compete in three more NAIA Winter Invitational games Saturday, Feb. 12. They will play against #6 nationally ranked Columbia College at 10 a.m., Baker University at 12:15 p.m., and Jarvis Christian College at 4:45 p.m.
USAO’s baseball team will compete in four games in Sterlington, La. Feb. 11-12. The Drovers were ranked #1 in the SAC preseason poll and were ranked #14 nationally in the NAIA preseason poll.
The Drover baseball players will compete against #12 nationally ranked Loyola University Friday, Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m. and against Benedictine College at 1 p.m. They will go on to play against McPherson College Saturday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. and against Cumberland University at 4 p.m.
