USAO students have worked hard this academic year, and now spring break is quickly approaching. How will students reward themselves for their hard work and dedication?

Several USAO athletes will stay home to compete in USAO sports.

Jose Hidalgo, junior baseball player, and Caitlin Hall, junior softball player, say they’ll be staying in Chickasha to play in the baseball and softball games.

Taylor Alexander, freshman basketball player, will also stay in Oklahoma during spring break instead of going to her hometown in Texas.

“I’m going on many different adventures throughout the city,” said Alexander.

Other students will also travel Oklahoma to reward their hard work with a little play.

Mikaela Sanders, sociology major, said she wants to go to the Illinois River in Tahlequah, Okla. to float and hang out.

Some students will travel out of state for adventures of their own, ranging from basking in the sun on the beach to bundling up and skiing down a mountain.

Karly Eden, sociology major, said she will go to South Padre Island, Texas with a group of friends.

“I’m going skiing in Colorado with my family,” said Savanah Barrett, elementary education major.

This year, spring break also has a little love in the air. Some students will either be attending weddings or planning for them.

Jenna Ripley, elementary education major, said she will spend spring break shopping for three separate weddings.

“My plan for spring break is to go to Dallas and shop for the weddings I have coming up,” said Ripley. “I’m getting married and so is my best friend. The other one is my brother’s.”
