Drovers Honor Seven Soccer Seniors

Yesterday both Drover soccer teams faced their conference rivals and celebrated seven senior athletes.

The women (4-5) took a 1-0 lead before half but failed to outplay the Stars for a full 90 minutes. Jade Ovendale scored the Drovers only goal. Oklahoma City scored two unanswered goals in the second half, finishing the game 2-1. Three female seniors were recognized before yesterday’s game including Fran Monfron, Lauren Carter and Linda Addo. Monfron is a midfielder/forward from Curitiba, Brazil. Carter is a forward from Tulsa, OK. Addo is an attacking midfielder from Tema, Ghana.

The men (8-1) hammered the Stars with a 6-1 victory in yesterday’s game. Niall Burley, Stephen Owusu, Nicholas Alberto, Perry Sansford and Kyle Maxwell all scored. Four male seniors were recognized before yesterday’s game including Scott Parkinson, Nicholas Alberto, Perry Sansford and Phil Pryor. Parkinson is a central defender from Liverpool, England. Alberto is a forward from Paris, France. Sansford is a forward from Colchester, England. Pryor is a defender from High Wycombe, England.
