Clubs must have their homecoming packets turned in no later than Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 5 p.m. to participate in 2013 USAO homecoming.

Haley Bryant, chair of Homecoming Committee for the Student Activity Board, explained this year’s process of homecoming. This year, Homecoming is a weeklong competition for clubs to participate in.

Clubs should have already received all the paperwork but if needed they can get all the necessary forms from Roland Nunez, who’s office is located on the third floor in the Student Center.

The clubs are to turn in their nominees for the Homecoming Court with a short biography and a headshot. Nominees will be put into a voting system, for which students will receive a link via email.

The voting period will be open from Oct. 22-24. After that, SAB will tally the votes and narrow the applicants to the top 6 vote getters.

The nominee biographies and headshots of the top 6 will be displayed in the cafeteria at the end of voting.

Students will vote online for one woman and one man Oct. 30-Nov. 1. The top recipients in each category will be crowned King and Queen.

Students will also be able to vote online via laptops provided by SAB in the cafeteria during lunch on election days.

The 2013 King and Queen will be announced Tuesday at the men’s basketball game.
