Internship 101

The Communication Department is hosting Internship 101, which is an hour-long informational session about internships, entry level jobs, and how to transition out of college. Russ Florence, a PR exec with more than two decades of experience, will talk to all USAO students about how to prepare for the next steps in their careers.

Sam Little, Senior Videographer

Sam is a third-year communication major at USAO from Lawton. He works at the Student Media Team, producing all sorts of videos for the University. Sam is also well on his way to obtaining a minor in French. On any other day he can be found tucked away in his room listening to spooky podcasts or bad quality indie music and planning out his next creative venture… or just napping. Redji Curry, Contributing Writer

Redji is a second-year student from Yukon. She said she is here to learn how to be a critical thinker. Redji said she is interested in taking classes that benefit her and if she got a degree at the end it would be groovy. She also knows all the words to Sir Mix a Lot's "Baby Got Back." Mary-Grace McNutt, Senior Writer

Mary-Grace is a third-year communication and speech language pathology major from Moore. Mary-Grace is a part of the Drover Dancers and works for the Student Media Team, where she produces videos and takes photos around campus. Matthew Yokum, Sports Editor

Matthew is a third-year communication major from Chickasha. He also works in USAO's Sports Information Department. If you see Matthew on campus, ask about his dog, Stormy! Harry Cracknell, Senior Writer

Harry is a third-year communication major with a business minor from Brighton, England. He is a member of the USAO men's soccer team and spends his free time watching his favorite soccer team, Everton. Up the toffees! Ray Thomas-Lapham, Graphic Designer

Ray is a third-year communication major, with an emphasis in graphic design, from Harrah. He obtained his Adobe certifications in visual design while enrolled in a technology center in high school. Emily Loughridge, Former Editor-in-Chief

Emily is a fourth-year communication major from Union City. Emily is obtaining minors in psychology and liberal arts, as well. She has been on staff for The Trend since the fall of 2021 and loves working with the writers on ideas! Emily interns with a local nonprofit, Not Your Average Joe. When she isn't studying or working, Emily can normally be found watching Scrubs, Gilmore Girls, or How I Met Your Mother and enjoying ice cream with her boyfriend.
