Paul Tointigh, Managing Editor

Hey there Drovers, welcome to March! Spring break has steadily “marched” up to us, and now it is right at our doorstep. The Trend is ready for a much needed spring vacation, and before the bags are packed, The Trend will finish up the chores that are left on the list.

First to be crossed off will be the fourth writer’s meeting in the Music Pocket in Nash Library. Meeting time is Monday, March 6th, at 4 p.m. Anyone is invited as The Trend discusses new articles, ideas, and upcoming events. The editors will once again be providing snacks for the meeting.

USAO’s DroverThon will have a busy week, as the Dance Marathon will take place on Thursday. I sat down with a member of the executive board and gathered information about the event. More information about the Dance Marathon can be read in “Droverthon’s Dance Marathon Fundraises for Children” publishing on Tuesday morning.

Do you know what the weather is like here in Oklahoma? If you grew up here, you know full well the kinds of random forecasts we get. If you did not grow up here and are just visiting, you will get a taste of the Okie weather in “Wonderful Weather We’re Having Huh?” I wrote down my experiences living in the Sooner State with the Sooner State weather. The article is forecasted for this Wednesday.

Here in the Sooner State, a popular genre of music is country music. Not only have I experienced the weather, but the types of music people listen to as well. I put on my headphones (and my imaginary cowboy boots) and listened to Luke Combs’ Album “Growin’ Up.” The article cruises onto The Trend on Friday.
