Lego Batman (Movie Review)
Lego Batman continues the blockbuster franchise’s winning streak with another dose of dizzyingly brilliant animation and family friendly chaos.

That awkward moment when Lego Batman is more entertaining than decades of live-action superhero movies.
In the most recent addition to the building block film family inspired by the 2014 film The Lego Movie, Lego Batman continues the blockbuster franchise’s winning streak with another dose of dizzyingly brilliant animation and family friendly chaos. Lego Batman, a delusional, egocentric vigilante (voiced by Will Arnett), battles a changing Gotham as well as his own personal commitment issues.
Between an accidentally adopted son he doesn’t want, a Justice League who thinks he’s a party pooper, and a surprisingly sensitive arch-villain who wants the dude in the mask to admit that they “complete” each other, Batman is forced to put down his microwaved Lego lobster thermidor and leave his lonely batcave to forge new friendships and save the town of Lego Gotham.
The newest installment in the Lego movie franchise provides plenty of silly gags and action to entertain the kiddos in attendance. While 100% family friendly, there are still plenty of inside jokes, movie references and subversive jabs at corporate America that will fly right over the heads of young moviegoers while engaging and amusing the older audiences.
This wacky, action-packed family film might seem chaotic and over the top at times, but the newest addition to the Lego movie franchise serves as an endearing and entertaining adventure that is sure to be an instant family hit.
