Kaytlen Johnson buckles down defensively against MACU in their early December game. USAO guard, Johnson and her team’s defense aided in a very close win over the Evangels in late 2021.

Four of USAO’s athletic teams are on the schedule for Jan. 20-26.

After a long two weeks on the road, the men’s and women’s basketball teams will step
foot in the Drover Fieldhouse once again.

Both teams will square off against University of North Texas at Dallas Jan. 20 in the
Drover Fieldhouse. The women kick off at 6 p.m., with the men following at 7:45p.m.

At their last match-up earlier this season, the USAO women walked away with a 62-59
loss on their record against UNT at Dallas. The women will be looking for a different outcome
on Thursday night. The Drovers are hot after a clutch win over Wayland Baptist University,
currently ranked 6th nationally.

The USAO men, on the other hand, will be looking for a similar outcome. Earlier this
season, the Drovers walked away with a 76-67 win over the Trailblazers.

The Drover men, ranked 15th nationally, will be back on the road again to play
Southwestern Assemblies of God University Jan. 22, with game times at 2 p.m. for the women
and 3:45 p.m. for the men.

The indoor track and field men’s and women’s teams will pack up for the Pitt State
NAIA/JUCO Invite Jan. 22 in Pittsburg, Kan. This will be the team’s third event for the 2022
portion of its season.
